Acadience® Reading + Math · K–6

Acadience practice that doesn't feel like test prep.

Acadience tells you which students are below goal, and on which skill. These packs give you original, print-ready material to practice that skill between benchmark windows — every measure, every window, with the official Green benchmark goal printed on each sheet. Built to the assessment's rules, not copied from it.

The Acadience map — what's tested, and when

Each measure targets a different foundational skill and is administered in specific grades and windows. Practice the skill the measure reads, and the score follows.

FSF
First Sound Fluency
Can a kindergartner hear and say the first sound in a spoken word? A 60-second phonemic-awareness measure. Kindergarten BOY · MOY
PSF

Breaking spoken words into their individual sounds — the phonemic-awareness skill that underlies decoding. K–1 MOY · EOY · BOY

Practice packs by measure

FSF — First Sound Fluency

Grades Kindergarten

Can a kindergartner hear and say the first sound in a spoken word? A 60-second phonemic-awareness measure.

PSF — Phoneme Segmentation Fluency

Grades K–1

Breaking spoken words into their individual sounds — the phonemic-awareness skill that underlies decoding.

NWF — Nonsense Word Fluency

Grades K–2

The alphabetic principle: mapping letters to sounds and blending them, measured with decodable nonsense words.

ORF — Oral Reading Fluency + Retell

Grades 1–6

Reading connected text accurately and quickly, plus a retell check for comprehension.

Maze — Reading Maze

Grades 3–6

Timed silent-reading comprehension — students pick the word that keeps each sentence making sense.

Math — Computation + Concepts

Grades K–6

Math fact fluency and applied concepts, from early numeracy in K up through Grade 6.

Built like the benchmark, not like a worksheet.

Most "test prep" drills the test. That gets students better at the probe and no better at reading or math. Every pack here practices the underlying skill — phonemic awareness, decoding, fluency, comprehension, computation — in original material constructed to the same rules the real measure uses.

Every sheet prints the official Green benchmark goal for that grade and window, so you always know what "at goal" means. And because the material is original, you can hand it out freely — no worrying about exposing the secure forms.

Acadience practice — FAQ

Is this the official Acadience assessment?

No. These are independent practice packs built to mirror the construction rules of each Acadience measure. They are not the official probes, and they are not affiliated with or endorsed by Acadience Learning. All passages and items are original content.

Which measures and grades are covered?

Acadience Reading — First Sound Fluency (K), Phoneme Segmentation (K–1), Nonsense Word Fluency (K–2), Oral Reading Fluency with Retell (Grades 1–6), and Maze comprehension (Grades 3–6) — plus Acadience Math (Computation and Concepts) for Grades K–6. Every pack covers the BOY, MOY, and EOY benchmark windows for its grade.

When should I use these?

Between benchmark windows. Acadience tells you which students are below goal and on which skill; these packs give you original material to practice that skill so scores improve — without drilling the real test. Every sheet prints the official benchmark goal so you always know what "at goal" means.

Can I try before I buy?

Yes. There are free samples for the measures and a free K–6 goals cheat sheet with sample probes. Run a week of practice and see whether the numbers move before committing to a full pack.

How is this different from the real probes?

The real forms are the assessment — you cannot photocopy them for practice. These packs are original passages and items constructed to the same rules (word types, timing, scoring, and benchmark goals), so students practice the skill and the format without ever seeing the secure forms.
